In light of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the state of emergency declared today by Premier Ford the EKO Spring Symposium will not be taking place. Over the past week, Empowered Kids Ontario has been monitoring the situation closely and has been working with the Hilton Toronto to determine the best course of action including postponing the event. With today’s announcement of a State of Emergency it has been determined that our best action at this time is to cancel the event. Rescheduling this Event Thank you to everyone who responded to our call for presenters and posters; we received a lot of great feedback on the program that was put together in such a short period of time. We will be reaching out to presenters to ask if they would be interesting in offering a virtual learning opportunity over the coming months - more details on that at a later date. We are currently working with the Hilton Toronto to determine dates to host the 2021 EKO Spring Symposium and will be in touch as soon as a new date is scheduled. Registration Fees We would like to offer anyone who has registered for the EKO Spring Symposium 2020 a credit towards attending the 2021 Spring Symposium. Please contact symposium@empoweredkidsontario.ca to request a credit. To request a refund of your registration fees, please contact Jennifer Inkpen, Director, Association Services & Administration at jinkpen@empoweredkidsontario.ca . Cancellations are generally subject to a $75.00 administration fee. However, given the current circumstances EKO will be waiving this administration fee and will be offering full refunds of any registration fees paid.
