Our Mission

Hands is an accredited bilingual organization that provides quality clinical, navigation and professional support in the areas of autism, behavioural, developmental, mental health and rehabilitative services. Our experienced, knowledgeable and professional staff provide equitable client-informed services and system leadership designed to make a positive difference in the lives of the individuals, families and communities we serve.

Our Story

Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca is dedicated to improving the life experiences of families, children, youth and adults with mental health concerns or a developmental disability, by providing them with help and support in facing and working through social, emotional, behavioural, physical and developmental difficulties.

Our team provides services to more than 11,000 individuals in North Bay, Nipissing, Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Northern Ontario each year. Hands provides professional services in the areas of: adult developmental services, autism, child development, child and youth mental health, justice services and navigation support. We are a Lead Agency for child and youth mental health in the Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound service area.

Our People/Our Team

Our team is made up of more than 230 professionals who provide more than 11,000 services in both English and French each year to children, youth, adults with developmental disabilities, and their families.

Our team includes Child and Family Therapists, Youth Counsellors, Behaviour Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists and many other health care professionals.
