Mission Statement
Our Vision
All children and their families reaching their potential and participating as fully as possible in the life of our community.
Our Mission
To provide a range of rehabilitation services and programs to children and youth with identified needs, residing in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. Each child is viewed as part of a larger network, with home, school, hospital and community partnering to establish goals and produce change. Our centre will serve as a primary resource for information and advocacy in our community.
Our Story
The Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre at Quinte Health has been serving children, youth, and their caregivers and families residing in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties since 1977. Our main site is in the Charlotte Sills Wing of Belleville General Hospital, with satellite locations at Trenton Memorial Hospital and North Hastings Hospital in Bancroft. Through partnerships with other rural community agencies, we’ve been able to offer further service and support closer to home in Madoc and Picton. We strive to continue to build access to services in all communities in our region as we continue to expand on our community partnerships.
QCTC provides a range of child development and rehabilitation services and supports to approximately 4000 children, youth, and families. We strive to provide equitable and family-centred care that supports full participation in the life of our community. Our team believes in a flexible, multidisciplinary approach to services that support our clients, caregivers, and community. We are the designated SmartStart Hub for the region, and the coordinating agency for Coordinated Service Planning (CSP) for Hastings, Prince Edward, and Northumberland Counties.
