More than 10 per cent of kids in Canada have a disability. That number is expected to grow to one in five in the next generation.

Treatment can change the course of a child’s life.

Our members work as partners to promote intra-professional collaboration that strengthens the voice of our child development and rehabilitation sector. Together we advance evidence-based investments, policies and programs enabling smart, innovative approaches and service delivery so kids with disabilities and their families live their best lives.

Together we tackle common challenges, drive advances, and support the consistent high-quality service families expect and deserve as we respond to the needs of kids with disabilities and their families.

Member Benefits:

Join the conversation! Connect to the latest research, participate in sector-wide training, and represent the child development priorities at provincial and national advisory tables. The Government of Ontario regularly engages EKO and its member agencies on important questions and policy issues. Members have the opportunity to bring their experience, perspectives, concerns and ideas to the forefront.

Partner with leaders in child development and rehabilitation in Ontario and across Canada. Members share their vision, expertise, and knowledge, inspiring one another to innovate and build better supports and services for kids with disabilities and their families.

Anticipate and manage issues. EKO helps members and member organizations anticipate, detect and respond appropriately to emerging trends or changes in the environment. When a situation evokes the attention and concern of influential stakeholders, and perceptions may have important consequences, EKO provides leadership to steward, build, maintain and sustain relationships.

Ontario is a Canadian leader in child development and rehabilitation. EKO’s training programs and workshops ensure members are at the leading edge—in touch with promising research advances, clinical best practice, leadership development, and leading practices in management, human resources, finances, performance data, and all aspects of operations.

Registration discounts for EKO’s annual symposium and other training programs: Members take advantage of reduced rates for registration fees, and gain access to continuing learning webinars and other programming. Members also have access to archives, Best Practice Guidelines and more.
