Empowered Kids Ontario welcomes newest member – SMILE Canada

June 24, 2024

Empowered Kids Ontario’s Board of Directors recently approved SMILE Canada - Support Services as an associate member.

EKO fosters transformation in child development clinical care and programs, actively supporting members by promoting innovation, advancing performance improvements, delivering high-quality networking and educational programs, generating partnerships, and by representing Ontario’s child development sector to government.

“We’re excited to grow our membership with the addition of SMILE Canada - Support Services,” says EKO CEO Jennifer Churchill. “SMILE Canada’s membership is a testament to the value EKO delivers for the sector through innovation and peer-to-peer engagement opportunities.”

“We believe all children and their families have the right to access supports and services for their health and education, in order to thrive and develop successfully,” says Sukaina Dada, Smile Canada - Support Services Executive Director. “We’re aligned with EKO members, ensuring children with disabilities are able to actively engage and participate in their communities with no barriers to access.”

EKO now features 32 member organizations that deliver clinical care, programs and services so kids with disabilities and developmental differences can live their best lives.
