Interwoven Connections is EKO’s newest associate member
March 05, 2025
Empowered Kids Ontario-Enfants Avenir Ontario (EKO), a leading representative association for developmental health providers, is pleased to announce the addition of Interwoven Connections to its membership.
“We are thrilled to welcome Interwoven Connections to Empowered Kids Ontario,” says EKO President & CEO Jennifer Churchill. “Their work fills a critical gap in support for families and caregivers of children with diverse and often complex needs, as well as for developmental health professionals. Their expertise in peer-led and trauma-informed approaches—particularly in helping families navigate child-directed aggression toward caregivers—ensures that those providing care have the resources, training, and strategies needed to succeed.”
“We share EKO’s vision that all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential and we’re excited to be an associate member of an organization that brings together developmental health leaders,” says Interwoven Connections' Executive Director, Julie Despaties. “Our mission is to ensure that parents, caregivers, and professionals have the tools, knowledge, and community connections they need to foster safe, stable, and nurturing environments. We believe that strengthening families strengthens communities.”
“Interwoven Connections is a dynamic and valuable new member for our association. Their expertise in supporting caregivers through specialized guidance and training will be a significant asset,” adds Churchill. “We are delighted to have them join the EKO family.”
With Interwoven Connections joining its ranks, EKO strengthens its commitment to kids with disabilities and developmental needs, and their families, living their best lives.
