To participate, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the application form
  2. Submit a personal impact statement of up to 500 words in length explaining why you are a strong candidate for the EKO Scholarship; this essay should outline your career goals, intended course of study, involvement in your community and in extra-curricular activities.
  3. Provide a letter from the EKO organization where you received services verifying that you were considered a client
  4. Submit two letters of recommendation from school or community mentors, or other supporters.  For assistance reaching school mentors, please contact your school principal whose email address can be found on your school website.

The form must be filled out completely. We cannot accept incomplete applications.

In order to quality, you must be Canadian citizen, permanent resident/landed immigrant, Convention refugee, or protected person living in Canada, as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Applications must be submitted through the online form. Please contact if you require accommodations in completing the online form, or if you have any questions.

Be sure to submit your application by the June 30, 2020 deadline.
