Who is Eligible

The Empowered Kids Ontario Scholarship is open to those who have received services and/or supports from one of Empowered Kids Ontario member organizations, and who are applicants at or attending an accredited college, university, or Indigenous Institute, or career training program that involves a tuition fee in fall 2022. Applicants must be:

  • Canadian citizen; members of Canadian First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth will also be considered for the EKO Scholarship for Indigenous students
  • Permanent resident/landed immigrant
  • Convention refugee
  • Protected person living in Canada, as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Through the application process candidates must demonstrate exceptional leadership in their community or in school.

Candidates may apply as often as they wish, however they may only receive the EKO Scholarship one time.

Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible.
